This weekend marks the official kickoff of two of downtown Shreveport’s most anticipated events ,Mudbug Madness and the F1 Powerboat Races, and the celebrations began this morning with a new addition: The Noble Pedicab.

City and tourism leaders gathered early Friday to officially open both events with remarks from Mayor Tom Arceneaux, Visit Shreveport-Bossier President Stacy Brown, and F1 racers. As part of the ceremony, the group enjoyed the very first official ride aboard the Noble Pedicab, which transported them from the riverfront to the boat launch, and then to Festival Plaza in a spirited downtown send-off.

The pedicab service is the product  of a local entrepreneur, Shilpan Patel of Nobel Savage, who envisions a more connected, walkable, and experience in downtown.

Its launch comes at the perfect time. The Noble Pedicab was just named the second-place winner in the 2025 Destination 318 Tourism Pitch Competition, securing $25,000 in grant funding to support its development and operations.

Led by Visit Shreveport-Bossier and the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP), Destination 318 is a competitive initiative that backs innovative, tourism-focused business concepts aimed at strengthening the local economy and enriching the visitor experience. The Noble Pedicab stood out for its practicality, creativity, and potential to serve both residents and visitors year-round.

Whether you’re downtown for crawfish, concerts, or championship races, keep an eye out for the Noble Pedicab and follow their page to see where they are this weekend!
